Trail notes recorded post hike, added here in their fairly raw state.
This was a big one. I was excited for this hike, its a popular climb. I’ve read a lot about it.

Enjoyed this hike a lot more than Balsam Cap/Friday the day before. Humidity was lower. Having an actual trail to follow was a good plus. It was steep, but not too bad at all. Hot for sure. A couple of real good scrambles to make up.
Cornell gap was intimidating but I was able to crawl my way up and then just chucked my bag back down on the way back. Not nearly as bad as I was thinking it would be in my head.

And of course a lovely little river to soak the feet in after.

It was funny, the little ticket booth was closed I got there so early, so I came back to my car with a lovely note. Nice people.
