Balsam Mountain

Trail notes recorded post hike, added here in their fairly raw state.

Met two other groups doing 3500 stuff. Surprised one girl accidentally, maybe she had earbuds in. Other group was working on them slowly, once a month, if that. Said it was taking them a few years, but they were enjoying it. They were intimidated by the trailless ones, but honestly I said some of the trailless ones had better trails than some of the other hikes!

Beautiful day. Was pretty tired on the uphills, outta shape from the more easy hikes I’ve been doing. As a result I opted to head over to Belle Ayre as well, honestly I was hoping for a bit of a view at the top but no such luck!

I’ll be back here for the winter climb!
