I figured I’d post some of the food I’ve made on here as well, because 1, I’m not posting nearly as much as I want to, and 2, I don’t really have much to post about currently. I’ve just been working a lot and trying to enjoy my summer as much as possible before beginning my final year at college.

Anyways, I’ve been wanting to marinate a steak in a cilantro lime sauce for a while. I personally really like cilantro and I think it really gives a good fresh flavor when used appropriately. So I found a few recipes online and combined them. The result is basically: cilantro (maybe a cup or so), about 5-6 limes worth of juice, I used jalapeno and poblano peppers (most recipes had Serrano peppers, but I couldn’t find them), salt, pepper and I added a touch of vinegar for a little more acid to help tenderize the flank steak.

I then tossed some green beans in a cast iron (my favorite!) with some garlic and onion and cooked until tender and the garlic was a little crispy.

Yes, the pictures were taken with my iPhone, I didn’t feel like getting my camera and letting my meal get cold - oh, and it was delicious.
